1. Social Media Manager                                                                                       

We have a unique and hugely exciting new opportunity for a full-time Social Media Manager to join our growing team. Working from our central London offices, we are looking for someone who will create and curate content, develop digital campaigns and liaise with influencers for a number of large and exciting travel brands across the world.

The ideal candidate will be educated to graduate level and should have strong experience working within social media. You must be able to demonstrate an in-depth understanding of social media strategy and platforms and have outstanding written and communication skills. You should also have experience in delivering successful social media campaigns.

Applicants must be able to work and thrive in a fast-paced environment and should have the confidence to work under their own initiative as well as collaboratively alongside the wider team. We are looking for someone who is motivated, energetic, organised and creative with the ability to multi-task, prioritise and take full responsibility of their own workload. You should have flawless execution and an eye for detail. A passion for travel is also advantageous. 

Daily activities will include writing and managing original, high-quality and engaging content across multiple platforms; developing and executing digital campaigns and strategies; reporting; exploring new social media opportunities; and liaising with influencers. The candidate will also be responsible for communicating brand voice and developing best practice guidelines for the wider company as well as implementing new features to develop brand awareness such as promotions and competitions.

2. Sales & Marketing Account Executive

Hills Balfour is the market leader in travel and tourism representation, public relations and consumer marketing. We are currently looking to recruit an eager Sales & Marketing Account Executive to promote our Indian Ocean client.

Ideally educated to degree level, the candidate will be an excellent communicator, highly presentable, have an eye for detail and be able to use their own initiative.

Skills and experience required:

·         Good tourism industry sales and marketing experience

·         Ideally previous experience of working within the travel and tourism industry

·         Excellent interpersonal, verbal communication and presentation skills

·         Good geographical knowledge of southern England

·         Ability to work and thrive in a multi tasked and fast paced environment

·         Excellent analytical skills

·         Ability to work to strict deadlines and capable of managing and prioritising the workload

·         Proficiency in word, excel and outlook

A clean driving license is essential. The candidate will be required to spend 3 days a week on the road and two days office based with frequent time in head office in London. Overseas travel will be part of the job.

4. Sales & Marketing Account Manager, Tourism & Events Queensland                 POSITION FILLED

We have an exciting opportunity to join our Tourism and Events Queensland team as a Sales & Marketing Account Manager. You’ll be joining a team to make 3 whose key responsibility is to grow UK and Nordic arrivals to Queensland.

The role is multi-faceted and job responsibilities include marketing campaign development, project management and implementation often working with multiple stakeholders: collating and evaluating campaign results; developing and implementing the trade engagement strategy including training, incentives and marketing; organising events and roadshows; famil organisation and hosting; budget management; attending events and trade shows and creating market reports, research, etc as appropriate.  This role works closely alongside the Account Director in terms of developing strategic direction and creative thinking, together with an Account Executive.

Educated to graduate level, the successful candidate should be able to demonstrate the ability to plan and execute marketing campaigns with a proven track record of partnership management.  We are looking for a highly motivated and organised multi-tasker, who is able to handle a very busy workload but maintain a keen eye for detail. The ideal candidate would also have strong destination knowledge as well as a passion for Queensland.

Though travel in the UK and overseas is part of the job, the position is based in our central London offices in Southwark / London Bridge.

5. MICE Account Executive                                                                                        POSITION FILLED

You will ideally be educated to a degree level and have at least a years’ experience working within the UK MICE and/or Association sectors, either for a hotel, event agency or DMC. The successful candidate will provide administrative support and assistance to the MICE account team to develop sales and implement key activities to ensure excellent market penetration for our destination convention bureau clients. Key activities will include sales meetings, educational forums, trade shows, b2b networking events and hospitality events with primary objective to generate business enquiries to our destination clients.  You will be expected to maintain an up to date trade database in the MICE market and accurate records of all sales and marketing activities to include in monthly and quarterly year reports, whilst keeping abreast of industry developments and market trends, reading key industry media outlets, researching new potential clients for sales appointments.

The candidate will need to be highly presentable, have a high attention to detail and ability use their own initiative.
