
A look at what we've done
Hills Balfour's mission was to increase AirAsia’s online presence in the UK and to retain and attract the interest of existing and future social media subscribers, with the intention of converting them to sales. We were also tasked with relating social media content directly back to destinations available through AirAsia's network and other lifestyle messages.
Hills Balfour has been heavily involved in AirAsia’s online strategy since we started working with the airline earlier in 2011. Primarily, we launched AirAsia’s online competition to win flights on its international network. We also attended over 10 UK events over a four month period on behalf of AsiaAsia in order to create and send live social media updates in real time. On a daily basis, we are responsible for maintaining the UK AirAisa Facebook page with daily updates and information and responding to consumer queries, as well as doing the same for its Twitter stream.
As a result of our work, Hills Balfour has helped AirAsia to increase its Facebook Likes and Twitter followers. This has significantly contributed to AirAsia’s best year ever in terms of sales.
