Case study: Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority

Hills Balfour have handled the sales and marketing and PR for the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA) in the UK since July 2008. One of our objectives has been to educate the front line sales staff and MICE agency buyers on the wealth of activities in and around Las Vegas, to enable them to effectively sell the destination to their clients.

This has been achieved through the launch of a series of interactive and informative road show events across the United Kingdom.

In 2013, Hills Balfour produced two highly successful nationwide roadshows, one for the leisure market and one for the MICE market. The week long leisure roadshow travelled to Manchester, Bristol and London with the 10 sales mission partners networking and presenting to 260 travel agents and 35 key decision makers from the UK’s leading tour operators and retail stores.

The MICE roadshow included three networking events in Manchester and London resulting in the roadshow partners meeting 59 of the top meetings and incentive agency buyers in the UK. The roadshow ended with participation in the Buyers Networking Club trade show at The Brewary in London which was attended by 800 approved corporate event buyers and resulted in some fantastic group leads for the destination.
