Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority – Entertainment Promotion

Known as ‘The Entertainment Capital of the World”, the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority created a dedicated entertainment travel and media portal in 2009 to highlight their events, activities and recreational offerings. Hills Balfour launched the UK campaign, which aimed to encourage bookings and packages from four main tour operator partners (Funway, Netflights, Virgin Holidays and Lastminute), and position Las Vegas online alongside the best sites in the world. Hills Balfour highlighted the dynamic offerings of America’s fastest growing city through an integrated sales and marketing entertainment campaign featuring an interactive flash microsite and media portal (www.virtual-las-vegas.com), extensive online promotions, as well as print, email and outdoor travel marketing promotions.

Over the course of the promotion, the microsite had 242,595 unique visitors and the campaign reached 119.83 million people with a total campaign media value of £13,092,540.
