After graduating with a BA (Hons) degree in History & English Literature from Lancaster University, a summer spent working abroad ensured that Holly would succumb to her love of travel and pursue a career in the industry. Beginning in sales, she spent several years working for well-known UK luxury tour operators, developing her knowledge on a diverse range of worldwide destinations, before moving to a role in product. This was instrumental in developing her commercial awareness and allowed her to work directly with luxury hotel groups, tourist boards and DMC’s, developing key relationships, and focusing on product development to improve profitability and revenue.
More recently she has worked for a major Caribbean hotel chain, forming part of their representation team in the UK, before moving to Hills Balfour in 2018 as a Sales and Marketing Campaigns Manager. Since being at Hills Balfour, Holly has worked on a variety of projects for different clients including the planning and implementation of the Kenya UK and Ireland Roadshow in May 2019, coordinating events across four cities, with 12 partners; and two phases of the Brand USA Digital Campaign, working with 14 Tour Operators and 12 separate DMO’s across three markets (UK, Germany and France). She has also managed both the Hawai‘i Tourism Europe and Santa Monica Travel & Tourism accounts full time, and now works exclusively on Brand USA overseeing their sales and marketing activities in the UK market, and working on multi-market integrated campaigns. She brings with her a wealth of travel industry knowledge and experience, as well as strong relationships within the industry and a comprehensive understanding of the UK travel trade.
