ENGAGING THE UK TRAVEL TRADE TO SELL LAS VEGAS
Challenge:
To develop and maintain strong relationships with travel buyers, agents, wholesalers and key distribution channels to promote Las Vegas as the world’s most exciting destination for leisure travel.
Solution:
A dedicated trade sales team are tasked with:
Organising and exclusively representing LVCVA at travel trade events;
Developing, organising and hosting an annual sales mission across UK and Ireland;
Developing and conducting travel buyer and tour operator education programmes;
Developing unique sales promotions and booking incentive programmes;
Attending travel industry meetings and events;
Hosting and educating key travel trade customers;
Organising and hosting travel professionals on destination familiarisation tours;
Maintaining involvement in relevant organisations such as Visit USA, US; Commercial Service and similar organisations for the benefit of the LVCVA.
Results to date:
1,010 sales calls conducted
32 FAM trips hosted
120 leisure events attended
5,600 travel agents trained
