International Women’s Day (IWD) was on Friday, March 8. This global event marks a day to champion equality and human rights for women and girls, bringing attention to important women’s issues and celebrating women’s accomplishments. With over a century of history and progress, the first International Women’s Day began as a grassroots movement in March 1911, and it has since become an impactful annual observance that belongs to all those committed to forging women’s equality.

As an organisation comprised of 76% women, 75% of whom hold management roles or higher, we know the value women bring, and acknowledging and celebrating IWD each year is just one way we continue to support our team and foster a culture of inclusivity and diversity.

In solidarity with women across the globe our office was adorned in purple, as a symbol of justice and dignity:-

This year’s theme for IWD is “Inspire Inclusion,” and as part of our celebration of International Women’s Day we enjoyed an inspiring and empowering virtual conversation with speaker, mother, author and change-maker, Beth Santos.

Beth is the founder and CEO of Wanderful, an international collective of travellers and travel content creators on a mission to make travel better for all women. She shared insights on representation of women in travel, travel tips for women and parents, the evolving travel influencer culture, how to challenge gender stereotypes and more!

Beth has been named one of 17 change-makers shaping the future of the travel industry by Business Insider, one of 12 women to follow by Conde Nast Traveller, and one of 20 influential women in the travel industry by Travel Pulse.

We’re also collecting women’s clothing donations for the month of March to support Dress For Success.
